At the age of 10, she started canoeing with her younger brother, aiming for the Olympics in the C2 event, and competed in the C2 event for the first time at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, finishing 12th. Since the C2 event was excluded from the Tokyo Olympics, his younger brother retired and his older brother switched to the C1 event.

10 才で弟とカヌー競技を始め 2 人乗り(C2 種目)でオリンピックを目指す

2016 年 リオデジャネイロオリンピックに C2 種目で初出場、結果 12 位。

東京オリンピックで は C2 種目が除外される事から弟は引退、兄は 1 人乗り(C1)種目に転向。

現在の活動内容

カヌースラローム日本代表として活動

主にワールドカップ、世界選手権等に出場し

遠征がない期間は、地元秋田でトレーニングに励んでいる。

Current Activities

He represents Japan in canoe slalom. When not competing in the World Cup or World Championships, he spends his time training in his hometown of Akita, Japan.

バックグラウンド

生まれも育ちも秋田県の山奥な為、幼少期は弟と 2 人で毎日、家の裏山に行き走り回り 遊んでいた(これが今の原点)小学校低学年時に水泳を始め、9才で野球を始めるまで 続けた。10 才でカヌースラローム競技を始める。

He was born and raised deep in the mountains of Akita Prefecture, so he and his younger brother used to go to the mountains behind their house every day to run around and play (this is the starting point of his life today).
